Microsoft has announced that it will hold the ‘Microsoft Start-Up Connection’ event at Coex ASEM Ballroom on the 25th, providing a platform for domestic startups and global experts to connect and communicate.
This event is designed to help startups and developers identify new opportunities and lay the foundation for business growth in a rapidly changing technological environment. The program includes panel talks featuring global experts leading technological innovation, such as Thomas Dohmke, CEO of GitHub, as well as customer sessions where companies share their business application experiences. Approximately 15 companies, including Upstage, Furiosa AI, Dunamu, and Riiid, will participate, showcasing successful business cases and technological applications. Additionally, an MVP session will explore AI utilization in depth, featuring Sujin Kang, Korea’s first prompt engineer.
Microsoft stated that it is hosting this event to explore new opportunities with startups and developers in the midst of rapid technological advancements. In reality, industries are undergoing transformation with the adoption of generative AI and AI agents. The commerce sector is shifting from platform-based models to AI agent-driven sales, and generative AI is being integrated across industries such as manufacturing, finance, healthcare, and agriculture. Many large corporations are already leveraging AI trained on their proprietary data as an auxiliary tool in their operations.
During the event, participants will learn how to rapidly adopt new technologies such as generative AI and AI agents and integrate them effectively into their businesses. Furthermore, networking opportunities with industry-leading experts and companies will allow startups and developers to explore collaboration opportunities. A Microsoft representative stated, "We organized this event for startups and developers who have had relatively fewer opportunities to leverage cutting-edge technology compared to large enterprises." The representative added, "This event will be an invaluable opportunity for all developers and startups looking to discover the intersection of technology and business and build a foundation for growth."
To maximize accessibility, Microsoft has decided to offer the event free of charge. Those interested in attending can register in advance and participate for free. Registration is available through the Microsoft Start-Up Connection 2025 official website.
